I find this on the emails sent out by my friend and i find that it is very interesting and funny.
Yes its true that everywhere nowadays in the CBD area you will see ERP gantries and it is a toll to all vehicle owners.. Wats with the ERPs you mite ask? Personally i think its just a way to make money.

But as an economist i should not think of it that way. Should think as there is a future economic reason behind it.

Economists might see that there is a likelihood that there is a going to be a huge increase in the number of vehicles on the road and it will be difficult to curb the traffic if this goes on and one of the more "effective way" to reduce the growing number of vehicles on the road which will take a toll on the environment on a small country is through ERP.




And what is the reason for ERP on MRTs and lifts you might say? Oh well im not sure yet... Lolz.. (Maybe it means MAS not really doin well on their reserves if this happens..)
