Unaware of How Big Fires Can Get In Singapore?

Im here again to create awareness..

Just a few days back my friends say:

"SCDF sooo relax..."

"SCDF got a lot of fires to fight meh?"

Me:
"Yes sometimes fires can get so big they razed the factory to the ground." (I had two experience of such in my 1 yr as fireman)

"Sure or not fire can get that big?"

"How come never hear in news one?"

So many questions.. I tell without prove also no use.. So my friends who asked me about all these i dont blame you guys, as i said i was one of you people until i became a fireman myself..

Coincidentally me and my big mouth... Now its in the news! Lolz...

This is a recent news on one of the bigger fires in Singapore.. The factory was razed to the ground.. Now you people believe me or not??? Heh..

It happened in Sungai (Sungei) Kadut.. Its near Woodlands Road/Mandai, the industrial areas. Used to be my area when i was once a fireman.. Ohh man..... How i miss being in action! =/

My fellow ex collegue aka Pang (or was it straits time that calls it):

"The biggest 7th month offering in 5 years."

Lolz..

"I could’ve imagined the expression on the officer’s face in the first arriving fire pumper. Balls shrink, man!

And I heard that the front bonnet of one of the engines totally melted, lah. Luckily, the 18 other appliances (total of 18 fire engines) were not affected and the 70 firemen were okay. Eh, woots, that is alot of manpower."



Will update more of the history of big fires in sg.. Maybe provide statistics also.. :D To create awareness to my friends and hopefully my friends' friends and theirs...

These unsung heroes work hard.. But still doesn't have a tune.. I will do my bid to sing for them...
