The craze is over.. Congrats Alonso.. And finally all my friends who are busy with the event will be free.. :D
I wonder 61 laps...... How many of times of those ERP gantries did they pass thru man!! Haha..
And bcoz of this event.. I find something odd for the past three days la..
I find it funny how Singapore's "Public" transport reacts to an inteernational event such as this..
I find that the train is not packed like Sardines anymore and almost all the trains come in half the time than how it used to be.. Now i can find myself a sit in the mrt if im lucky enough on none peak hours when im in town. And when its peak hours, surprisingly i dont have to brush shoulders or squeeze and be squeezed just to get into the MRT..
How cool is that! Singapore "Public" transport system improve significantly since the F1 began or is it?? Hah...
I wonder what is going to happen in 3 days time after the F1.. I give them face ok.. 3 days ok.. Haha! Though i hope they stay this way!
And ohh.. You must be wondering why i put public as "public"? ha..
They are not.. They are PRIVATELY listed in the market and are making supernormal profits and give dividend to shareholders and stuff.... bla bla.. STILL CAN GIVE DIVIDENDS SOME MORE!! Walao.....
Im disappointed at how they call themselves public if they are earning such profits and giving dividends to the shareholders and at the same time can increase cost of travelling further.
Recent drop in oil prices, didnt push them to decrease transport fees instead they are pushing the cost of travelling up uP UP! What is the point of calling themselves public transport if the price is not helping the public??
Furthermore, (besides them having well planned tranport lines and services..) i dont see the transport system getting any better or seeing significant improvements in them... Disappointing..
Buses especially.. A first hand experience.. Imagine waiting for a bus no. "XX" for about half an hour while you see 4 of buses "YY" zooming past one after another each coming like five minutes before the other and empty.. Or worst, 2 of the same buses even come to the same bus stop at the same time! Horrible man...
And being like a monopoly in this particualr industry.. It is unfair how they are monopolising the transport system to their own advantage.. Just becoz the transport service they provided is a necessity for us singaporeans, they are changing prices as and when they felt like revising them coz they noe we still use them..
I know that the government will not allow them to raise transport cost significantly.. The government has done a good job at controlling monopolies in SG i.e powergas. But i think we Singaporeans are already feeling the pinch here.. A voice speaking for many... It is suppose to encourage usage of public tranport what...
Even the $275 im getting on 1st October (which im greatful for) will only be enough to cover my one month plus transport fees la! And i am a full time student for goodness sake..
Why i brought up this matter actually?? HAHAHA! Coz more than half of my allowance will be spent on public transport! WTH la... It doesnt help when i explained to my parents im not given enough not becoz i spent more.. It is becoz i have to spent more coz prices are rising out there.. (esp transport.. One day i spent an average of $5 -$6 le).. I eat what for lunch in school?? GRASS?!?! Damn angry man with the transport provider..
Soon everyone will start riding a bicycle.. And then demand increases which lead to higher prices on buying one... Maybe riding one also will need you to have to pay for monthly usage on the pavements/roads.. Haha.. Never stops...
